Increases the height of the SalatBuddy Stool
Allows stacking of 5 SalatBuddy units
Designed by an American physician in collaboration with Teams Design, a world renowned design and engineering firm, the SalatBuddy was developed using cutting edge technology. In consultation with orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists, the goal of the SalatBuddy is to reduce pressure on the lower back, knees and ankles, easing pain one may feel in sujud (prostration). Using these muscles, ligaments and joints in salat (prayer) can strengthen them, enhancing flexibility, adding to one's overall health and well being. Intended for both men and women with the strength, flexibility and coordination to perform sujud (prostration), SalatBuddy can support up to 300 pounds.
I have tried the SalatBuddy personally, and was very impressed with how such a seemingly simple product can lead to a significant decrease in the stress on the muscles, joints and bones. Using SalatBuddy lowers the risk of re-injury, and allows for faster healing of injured muscles, bones, or joints.
Sitting on the SalatBuddy facilitates upright posture and reduces the forces on your low back because your pelvis is tilted relatively forward by the virtue of having your knees lower than your hips. This is similar to the effects of the “kneeling posture chair” that people who work at a desk are sometimes advised to use. Also by allowing you to sit on the floor in this modified pain-free position, you will continue to maintain the strengthening benefit involved in getting on and off the floor and also keep your balance reactions brisk.

Performing Sujood is an integral part of our salat and incumbent on all those who are physically capable. With SalatBuddy, insha’Allah, more people will be able to perform their salat closer to the tradition of our Prophet (PBUH). May Allah (SWT) make this project successful in bringing this option to every Masjid around the world, and accept the efforts of all those who strive to perfect their Salat. Jazakumullah
